Another year, and another hollow resolution to update this site more often.

I've got a number of updates to help compensate for the long down time. We've got a TIE Fighter, and anti-infantry turret modeled after those found in the Empire at War video game series, and a Skyranger from the old X-Com series.

Also a nice quote from my time consuming D&D campaign. I swear one of these days I'm gonna get a member in my group that actually wants to GM every now and then.

Alrighty, between my computer dying, work, and hunting for a new place to live, I've been a bit offline. On the bright side, I've kept working, so there's plenty of new models to keep you busy until the next update.

Go to the models section to see the Imperial Repulsorscout, the Crashed UFO terrain piece, and requested  model Clone Wars styled LAAT hull and Z-95 Headhunter.

Almost a whole year or running this site, I guess I should see about getting the design updated huh?

Today we've got a couple of updates. First up a new model requested by Jeff Martin, the Republic Artillery from the Clone Wars Movie. Also, for all you lazy people out there, the Fighter Tank as a Tile instead of a model, so you can just print it and go, no cutting no gluing, and no 3rd dimension. It's all in the Models Section.

I did something new with the Artillery, so it's bigger, but it should print out with better print quality. Models I've already started will be in the old resolution.

Jan. 25, 2009

Got two good updates this time. First, Mikki Haight contacted me a couple months back asking for help texturing a model of a T4-B tank from Empire at War. The result is now up in the models section.

Also for the RPG crowd I've added an article on tips and tricks for running a horror game. A great genre to play, when you can make it work.

Jan. 19, 2009

After a bit of an unintentional vacation I'm back, with a way huge model. From the good old days when LucasArts actually made good games on their own, flies the Moldy Crow. I originally tried making this thing at the "official" length of 29 meters. Not only was it too big to print, it just seemed too big. The cockpit seemed too roomy, the docking ring too wide, and so on. I dropped the size down by about 1/3 and everything seemed to fall right into place. It's over in the models section.

I've got plenty more coming, including a collaborative piece from a talented new modeler and an article on horror games, so keep checking back.

Wow again... I've got an awesome excuse this time though. Transformers 2 was shooting a ton of scenes where I work, needless to say I had to.... help. It was pretty cool to see a big time movie production in person. If I'm lucky they'll shoot the third one out here too. And yes, I now know the Decepticons evil plot.

Back to business though. The Y-wing display model is up with the flight model on the way. Jarrod's final Article is up as well. I'm working on some requests, so hopefully they'll be up soon if I don't get side tracked again.

September 1, 2008

Wow, that was a long time to go without an update. I've got lots of updates to help make up for it though. To start, I've added the last of the Arid Building Set. You'll now find the 4x2" building/story, the canvas roof, and for fun, a new billboard. Next up I finally came up with a proper flight stand, so you'll find that, and a TIE Bomber that is also of similar scale as the TIEs found on WotC minis tiles, so you can have it be a flying threat or just an interesting piece of static terrain. Next Week I'll get up the Y-wing and Jarrod final GM guide.

July 20, 2008

OK Kiddies, I've got two updates for you this week. First up is the sequel to Jarrod's GM guides on adventure design, this time covering In Media Res and the MacGuffin.

Secondly, at the request of Bob Swaim I've repainted the LAAT model with the ARC Trooper Blue Rancor paint scheme as seen in the second season of the Clone Wars cartoon miniseries.

My old pal Jarrod from way back when the dice had only six sides has started submitting articles on planning adventures and campaigns. The first installment is up in the Articles sections. He's an old D6 grognard like me, but don't let that scare you off, the information he's providing works just as well with Saga as is does with D6, or any other system for that matter. Go check it out!

If you're less interested in roleplaying, and more interested in rocking out then check out his band http://www.paperworktheband.com/

Pick a card, any card. There's a full deck of Sabacc Cards in the Visual Aids section. Good for mixing things up a little in your game, play a few hands instead of just rolling gamble checks. How the hands affect the overall course fo the game is up to your GM. Rules can be found in a couple of places, West End Games included them in The Heir to the Empire Sourcebook and the module Crisis at Cloud City. Alternately FULONGAMER posted some rules over on the D20Radio Forums here: http://d20radio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=417&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=15

I have also made a set of the special cards needed for the Crisis at Cloud City Module, also in the Visual Aids section.

June 4, 2008

Henrobot75 over on Gleemax requested that I make something appropriate for Stormtroopers to storm out of, but with a bit more mass then the Lambda shuttle cockpit. After explaining the logistical problems with a full Lambda model he decided that the DX-9 Transport from the old X-wing series of PC games would suit his needs just fine. I took some minor liberties with the design, but made up for any inaccuracies by giving this goose a forward and rear interior space and working ramps. It's in the models section for download.

Has it really been almost a month since the last update? I didn't think I'd been that busy... Anyway, new model up, I've been thinking about running a one or two shot D20 Modern adventure so I made a little Police Cruiser to help inspire me. I promise I'll have lots more Star Wars stuff up soon. I'm nearly done with a nifty gaming aid, and I finally figured out flight stands, so close air support will soon be a reality.

April 27, 2008

Wow, it's amazing how busy things are right now. I'm almost 2 weeks ahead in my work and I'm still struggling to meet deadlines as new problems and situations keep popping up and taking priority. As a result all I've had time to update is the quotes page, check it out, there's a couple good ones. Also if you haven't done so yet, get your browser over to D20 Radio and check out the Order 66 podcast. Great stuff, really great stuff.

April 7, 2008

It's the busy season at work, so I haven't had much time for modeling. I've added the effect templates I made for the old D6 Miniatures Battles. A great game that had bonus points for being directly compatible with the D6 role playing game, making it easy to drop your players into the middle of a big battle. They're in the Visual Aids section.

PS: If anyone knows how to reach Stephen Crane, let me know. I bumped into him on a forum a while back and he said he had some ideas on expanding the old game, I was hoping I could get him to share those ideas.

March 28, 2008

Stomach flu = bad! I'm not sure if that's what I have, but whatever it is I don't want it ever again. Anyhoo, update! Some chatter over on the Wizards boards about a need for stat cards got me to clean up and post the templates for my stat cards. Right now they're only in Photoshop format, I made add more formats as requested. For what it's worth Adobe is supposed to be testing a free version of Photoshop though, so it all might work out in the end. The templates are over in the Visual Aids Section.

March 25, 2008

Added some more to the Arid Planets Buildings entry in the Models section. The Turbine Building, the Destroyed Building, and the Building with Roof Access are now available for download. I'm kinda blowing through these fast and cutting a few corners, so if anyone sees a problem, let me know.

March 24, 2008

Whew, got another update in finally. The first part of a collection of "Arid Planet Buildings," nudge-nudge, wink-wink. I'll get the rest of it up as I get time. The next few weeks are going to be very busy though, so it might not be till April that every little piece gets posted. This current batch should keep you busy until then though.

March 16, 2008

Sorry, no real update this week. An old friend of mine passed away so my weekend got shot to heck pretty good. I've got a lot (a whole lot, like huge piles) of stuff nearly ready though, so next week's update should make up for it.

March 7, 2008

LAAT! That's right people a Low Altitude Assault Transport! Check it out in the Models section. I was in a bit of a hurry to get this one posted so I hope I didn't make any mistakes in the PDFing process. If I did, please let me know so I can get it fixed. This one was pretty nuts, It turns out that what you remember it looking like, and what it looks like in the film, cartoon, toys, games, ect, all have completely different details. I just did my best to stick to the key points and concepts and the end result has most of the right details and is only slightly smaller then "official sources" say it is. Suzy from my RPG group was kind enough to help me photograph this one. Next I've got some terrain to get built for a scenario I'd like to run Sunday.

March 3, 2008

Update! All older models, but if you weren't on my mailing list, then you probably didn't get them all. Fixed and added the Rebel Technical. Also added the Speeder Truck, Personnel Pod, and Portable Torpedo Launcher. Keep checking back, I've got a really good Clone Wars model that's almost done, and some nifty terrain pieces too. I want to have them all done by this weekend, but Call of Duty 4 and my RPG group have been something of a distraction...

Feb. 24, 2008

Models Section updated. Added the TIE Mauler, an original hovertank, and a Lambda Shuttle.....cockpit. Happy folding!

Feb. 23, 2008

Models Section updated. Added the Chariot Command Speeder, Fabulous Pink Crystals, Tirick Fire's Turret Mod for the AAT, and Tirik's OOM Droid. It's nice to have fans, especially talented ones like Tirick. Check back tomorrow for a couple more models, including an all new never before seen one.

Feb. 19, 2008

Visual Aids is now up with my Acclamator Assault Ship deck plan. It's just a rough layout, but it works pretty well.

Feb. 18, 2008

I know I know, it's about time isn't it? Well with all the trouble that swminiatures has been having with MIA webmasters I figured that it was about time to just suck it up and make my own page. So here it is, in all it's simplicity. I'll be making more material available as I get photos, clean up articles, compile maps and otherwise get everything looking good enough to share with the world. In the mean time feel free to check out what's up so far.
